Flames, redux

It was not so long ago that this blog was tracking the Santa Rosa blazes, with their tragic costs and the things that were spared. Now we here at AAUGH.com central have another fire to track, one that may be of less consequence to the Peanuts world, but is kind of personal.

The Thomas fire, the main one of the southern California conflagrations you may be hearing about on the news, is in my county. The flames are perhaps 10 miles away, which sounds like a lot, until you realize that the fire has already spread more miles than that.

Today will be a wait-and-see kind of day. Don’t be surprised if you continue to see posts going up even if we have to flee; I’ve got a couple posts, and a couple more podcasts in the works, and often schedule these things to post automatically. I’m embedding the map on this webpage in case anyone wants to follow it; unlike the version above with the AAUGH dot added to it, this one should update as more information comes in.

Meanwhile, the new podcast episode is up. Those of you wanting to see some of the pictures from the Arabic books discussed should click here, while images from the Polish books can be found here and here and here.
