Here are the opening pages from issue 20 of the KaBOOM! Peanuts comic book series, which will land in better comic book stores this Wednesday… which, by the way, would also be a good time to scour your comic shop for some last-minute Christmas gifts, and too-late Hannukah presents for your loved ones (as well as birthday presents for me. Sure, my birthday was eight months ago, but when accepting a present, I’m utterly willing to forgive that sort of mistake.) Individual comic book issues curl up nicely in a Christmas stocking, and a good comic shop will also have plenty of nice thick books of comics, whether it be collections of comic strips, a set of comic book stories, or an original graphic novel. Plus, they’ll also have lots of pop culture related tchochkes (although if you use the term “tchochke”, you’re probably in the late-for-Hannukah crowd rather than the on-time-for-Christmas much larger crowd.) Or better yet, stop by your comic book store today (comic shops are much quieter on Monday than on Wednesday), ask them to start holding copies of Peanuts for you, and get your shopping done in a less last-minute fashion.
