Comic-Con: The Peanuts booth

This is the Peanuts booth at Comic-Con: And this, over on the right (with the woman in the Tardis skirt in the lead), was the line of people waiting to buy stuff. And this was at a time when there wasn’t a signing going on, and the most in-demand of the exclusive items had already sold out: I didn’t have time to do much Peanutsy stuff or, for that matter, that much else at Comic-Con this year. I was only there for a day, and had a panel to do, a dinner to attend, collaborators to touch base with, etc. But I did get to talk briefly with Vicki Scott, who illustrates many of the Peanuts comics (including some that I wrote) and her husband Bob who used to be part of the Creative Associates gang, and did things like co-wrote and drew the cover for the The Beagle Has Landed graphic novel (hi Bob!) (apparently, he sometimes reads the blog.)
But despite not being able to do much, I’m glad I went. It’s great just to be there among all that enthusiasm! See you next year…
