A Blanket is a Warm Cover, Charlie Brown

Here we have the cover to the upcoming book Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown, which is a graphic novel adaptation of the upcoming Peanuts special of the same name. The book is available for preorder at a discount.

The cover image is nicely old-school.

Speaking of covers, that temporary cover for the supposed Schulz barbecue book has disappeared, replaced by… nothing. Amazon still lists the book, but with a statement of “no image available”.

As long as I’m posting, let me note that my experiment in opening up one thread to comments – looking for readers’ responses to my new book, looks like a failure. So far, we have a mess of comments from myself, one comment from a reader who I specifically prompted to post there, and literally hundreds of pieces of spam that I filtered out before they got posted. I’m not sure how much of this is “We don’t care to comment” and how much is “we don’t have the book yet”, but I’ll probably close the thread for further comments soon, maybe reopen it after Christmas when people who put the book on their wishlist have them in hand.

Schulz is from Tidal Wave, …

Not Peanuts, but not utterly not Peanuts

I saw a comics writer talking about a new project where he was taking some inspiration from Peanuts – as well as some from other sources — to do a story about a comic strip creator who is bringing his strip to an end, in a way with deep personal …
