The new Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown book

The new Running Press Kids book adaptation of Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown is now shipping. It suffers from the same problem as many of these adaptations, showing all of the plot and none of the humor of the special, relying on very flatly-presented text and various pictures only a couple of which could be considered vaguely humorous. The more I see the various adaptations of the TV specials, the more I’m satisfied that the much-more-comics-ish style of the old Random House adaptations was a way to go.

But this one does come with a promise of “30 Valentine stickers inside!” Looking at the sticker sheet, I see that that overstates the case on two levels. One is that there are only twenty-nine stickers included. The other is that, well, would you count the below as a valentine sticker?
