Peanuts mags from Scottland

PennyPress Movies & TV Word Seek

Recently added to the AAUGH.com Reference Library are a couple of magazines added primarily for their covers.

Courtesy of AAUGH Blog reader Scott comes this puzzle magazine which you should still be able to find on the stands, includingA Charlie Brown Christmas within a pantheon of beloved Christmastime entertainment.

And from a different Scott, non-AAUGH-blog reading but we like him anyway, at least like him enough to help him empty out his storage locker, which is how we came upon this, comes this CompuServe magazine from December, 1995. The issue does include a short article (about 40% of a page) titled “Good Grief! Snoopy’s in Cyberspace!” offering up news on Peanuts-related downloads that were then available through CompuServe (which was a big online service in the pre-Web days), as well as announcing Schulz’s first cyber-conference.

By the way, if you’re looking for a good non-Peanutsy gift, how about the today-only deal on a boxed set of 22 James Bond films on Blu-ray for $100? Oops, those sold through fast, now they’re pushing a cheap Marilyn Monroe Blu-ray set.
