A vital correction regarding Sweet Dreams, Snoopy

Last posting, I encouraged you not to confuse the different books entitled Sweet Dreams, Snoopy or some variant thereof. However, now that I have the new Wendy’s Kid’s Meal board book Sweet Dreams, Snoopy in my little Frosty-stained mitts, I can give you free rein to go ahead and confuse this book with the 2003 Little Simon board book of the same name… because it’s the same book, or a slight abridgement thereof. It basically takes the storyline of a single Sunday strip (I can’t pull the date up quickly) with Snoopy having trouble getting to sleep, and transfers it into a text-and-picture story – one blurb, one picture per two-page spread. I misspoke last entry when I said that both books have the same page count; the Little Simon edition actually has seven spreads where this one has five. The artwork is recolored in the new edition, and the images enlarged (beyond just the enlargement needed to fill the larger page size.

It should make a nice little book to read to kids-under-3; I think I will try it with mine when he wakes up.

In other news: the second installment of Schulz’s granddaughters autobiographical screed ebook is now available.

Double Love

Charlie Brown answers …

“Books”

My grocery shopping today landed me two new Peanuts “books”. The more bookish of the two is the latest edition of The Great Big Book of Peanuts Word Seeks, volume 5 to be precise, which as I’ve mentioned before I’ll allow to qualify as a book… particularly because it not …
