Peanuts switching syndicates

I doubt that news in the syndication world gets much bigger than this – this coming February, after more than 60 years with United Feature Syndicate, Peanuts will instead be distributed by Universal. This is not Universal’s first venture into the Peanuts world – their publishing arm Andrews McMeel published several Peanuts books in the mid-1990s.

Admittedly, this one have much impact for the readers – the strips are all done, of course. This post is more for those of us interested in the business end of Peanuts. And for folks with that interest, here’s an article on Schulz’s son Craig, who is the head of Creative Associates, the Schulz studio.
