A Charlie BANNED Christmas

Following up on yesterday’s post about how Texas prisons have banned The Peanuts Collection, I should note that that’s not the only Peanuts book they’ve banned. They’ve also banned the book adaptation of A Charlie Brown Christmas… and since they are, presumably, wise followers of this blog (all the best people are, and some of the others!) and thus know that there has been more than one edition of this book. Rather than offer a blanket ban on A Charlie Brown Christmas in all its forms, they specified enough to ban just the one version.

And what was this most deadly of A Charlie Brown Christmas book adaptations? It was the pop-up version, of course! It’s in eye-popping 3-D, and popping someone’s eye with it during a prison riot would be very bad.
