Other inside info

While I was being corrected on the status of It’s Tokyo, Charlie Brown (and boy, did I not just end up with egg on my face there, I ended up with AAUGH on my face!), my inside source did let me in on some better information, and that’s about the upcoming book The Art and Making of Peanuts Animation, which I earlier referred to as “nicely big” at 160 pages. Apparently, in putting this book together, they found more good stuff than they had expected… so it’s being pumped up to 196 pages. The images are being edited by Andy Beall, who was the animation director for Happiness is a Warm Blanket, Charlie Brown, and it will have an introduction by the producer of all the classic TV specials, Lee Mendelson. I don’t know whether the page count change will change the price of the book, but I’m going to preorder mine now to lock in the price.
