I now have all three of the board books that hamburger chain Wendy’s was offering with their Kids’ Meal over the last three months. Yes, yes, I appreciate all the notes of condolence over this large void in my life, but like so few of life’s major problems, this one could be solved by throwing some money at eBay.

The World Famous Snoopy features a series of pictures of Snoopy in his various guises – X-treme Skateboarder, Literary Ace, Beagle Scout, Astronaut, Baseball Star, The Flying Ace, Joe Cool, Doctor, Golf Pro – with text explaining what each of the guises is – “X-treme Skateboarder,” “Literary Ace,” “Beagle Scout,” “Astronaut,” “Baseball Star,” “The Flying Ace,” “Joe Cool,” “Doctor,” “Golf Pro.” Now rest assured that while the prose may not have moved you to tears, the book itself is is well put-together, and is better than a number of the cheap li’l board books that my 1 year old has ended up with.
