Available for preorder: Complete Peanuts v. 16

You can now preorder The Complete Peanuts Volume 16: 1981-1982, as well as the boxed set with both volumes 15 and 16. Volume 16 will have an introduction by Lynn Johnston… which is a kindly return, because Schulz did introduction writing for collections of “For Better Or For Worse”, Johnston’s long-running strip.

And while it may seem a little silly to be recommending that you order now for a book that won’t be out until September, I’ve got reason for doing so. At the moment, Amazon lists volume 16 at its cover price – $28.99. Ordering it now will meet the minimum $25 order need to qualify for Free Super Saver Shipping. Then if the price goes down before the book comes out (and it almost certainly will – volume 15 can be preordered for $15.54), you get the cheapest price the book hits between now and the day of release, plus you get the free shipping, which the lower price probably wouldn’t otherwise qualify for.

(If there’s one thing I like better than Peanuts, it’s schemy ways to save a buck.)
