Some ultra-discounts on Peanuts… and other stuff

The folks at Book Closeouts are running their own equivalent of a Black Friday sales, cutting a lot of prices in half… and that’s in addition to their existing Free Shipping promotion (you need to order at least $35 worth and select the free shipping option at checkout.)

And… whoops, I was going to list a couple other books, but they sold out before I could post this! But still, it shouldn’t be hard to rack up a good $35 order from this. I filled my cart with what I wanted, and then had to pare it back in half to a mixture of comics (such as the Doonesbury collection Signature Wound: Rocking TBI and the Pearls Before Swine collection BLTs Taste So Darned Good) and audiobooks (John LeCarre’s The Mission Song, Stephen Colbert’s I Am America (and So Can You!)). Actually, it came to 11 books and 8 audiobooks on CD for $52.56 including their one dollar handling charge. That’s for over $360 worth of material at cover price. (For those of you who have never bought “remaindered” books, these are copies that didn’t sell, some returned from stores but mostly ones that never left the warehouse. Most are marked with a marker along one edge to make clear that they are remaindered.)
