Planning ahead for next Halloween!

You can now preorder next year’s adaptation of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown... which seems likely to be the same adaptation as the one currenty available in Hallmark stores.

You can also preorder Sparky: The Live and Art of Charles Schulz, the bio-for-kids shipping in March.

As I’ve noted before, there’s an advantage to preordering well in advance, in that if the price ever fluxes downward in the time before the book ships, you get that lower price – even if it fluxes back up before the shipping date. But I actually stumbled across another reason a few weeks back. I’d preordered something that was about $30 bucks, and by the time it shipped, it was around $24. So I got it for the $24… and I got the free shipping, even though $24 isn’t enough for a free shipping order, because the shipping was locked in when the price was $30. Ka!  And also, ching!
