An old book in a new, unlikely format

Peanuts: The Art of Charles M. Schulz, that lovely Chip Kidd compiled art book is now available…

..in an edition for the Kindle, Amazon’s eBook.

Now, I know some images are possible on the Kindle. Heck, I’m the guy who published Schulz’s Youth on the Kindle. But it’s one thing to fit a single-panel cartoon on a black-and-white screen, quite another to show the texture of a four-panel newspaper clipping on it. I’m really curious to see what they do with the book. I suspect this is just part of an automatic-to-the-Kindle conversion… wouldn’t be surprised if it had just the text from the book. I’d be curious to find out.

But alas, I have no Kindle to check.
