Grrrreat Pumpkin, the really extended edition

Great Pumpkin DVD coverThe new DVD edition of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown comes out in September. And yes, it does include a second animated special It’s Magic, Charlie Brown (which means that this time they’re not keeping with the same paired-special packaging as the previous version, which had You’re Not Elected, Charlie Brown.) And yes, it does have a documentary featurette about the challenge of making a special to follow up the popular A Charlie Brown Christmas.

But even with all that added together, I doubt it really adds up to the 128 minute run-time that Amazon currently lists for this release!
