Peanuts Bargainthology

There is yet another Peanuts book that I cannot offer you through AAUGH.com. This one is a collection of some of the Ready-To-Read series of Peanuts stories for kids. Flying Ace to the Rescue and other Peanuts Stories is a hardcover reprinting the books Snoopy: Flying Ace to the Rescue, Kick the Football, Charlie Brown!, It’s a Home Run, Charlie Brown!, It’s Time for School, Charlie Brown, Friends Forever, Snoopy, and Lucy’s Advice. Check the discounts and remainders pile at your local bookshop.

This book is not a remainder; it’s pretty clearly a book manufactured specifically for those discount piles. The price on it is good: $7.99 for a full-color 190 page hardcover that reprints 6 books, each of which were $3.99 in paperback.

Peanuts Holiday Treasury, announced here earlier, is a similar book: another reprinting of several kids books (although in this case, one you can get through AAUGH.com.) Here’s a first look at the cover design. The book is slated to ship in late September.

And while we’re looking at covers, let’s close out with a recycled cover: art which you may already have on the cover to the 1965 book adaptation of A Charlie Brown Christmas shows up on the upcoming paperback edition of A Charlie Brown Christmas: The Making of a Tradition.
