Where are they now?

I was installing a new Blu-Ray player (well, reinstalling an old one, having lost the remote on the newer one), and I reckoned I’d test it by putting The Peanuts Movie disk in… which drew my 8 year old away form his video games, and he came over and watched the whole thing. And that left me wondering about the cast, and where they are now. Two years after something comes out is usually way too soon for a “where are they now” piece, but this was a young cast, and many Peanuts cast members in the past were more of the “neighborhood kids” types than the “pro actor” types, and went nowhere. That’s not the case here. So here are some highlights of what they’ve done in the years since… with the biggest being saved for last.
- Lucy: Hadley Belle Miller has continued voice work, including princess voicing in Barbie: Dreamtopia
- Franklin: Marleik ‘Mar Mar’ Walker has done some TV work, including one episode of the Fuller House, the Netflix follow-up to Full House.
- Marcie: Rebecca Bloom is Robyn on the Amazon remake of Sigmund and the Sea Monsters
- The Little Red-Haired Girl: Francesca Angelucci Capaldi, who prior to The Peanuts Movie was in the show Dog with a Blog, has since appeared in TV’s Mack & Moxy and movies’ Max 2. Try saying that five times fast!
- Violet: Madisyn Shipman is one of the stars of the Nickelodeon sitcom Game Shakers, and her character Kenzie has also made appearances on Henry Danger.
- Fifi: Kristin Chenoweth has continued her dynamite career of full-face acting, but has also continued doing animation voices, including the full-range of equine products: My Little Pony: The Movie and Bojack Horseman. But perhaps biggest of all, she had her own musical review on Broadway, My Love Letter to Broadway, in 2016.
- Snoopy: Bill Melendez remains dead, alas, and has been so fairly continuously since 2008.
- Charlie Brown: Noah Schnapp plays Will Byers, one of the main group of boys on the Netflix hit retro horror series Stranger Things (with much more screen time in the recently-released second season than in the first.)
