PEANUTS ART IN PAPER

The great book PEANUTS: THE ART OF CHARLES M. SCHULZ will be
released in paperback in November. The cover price will be
$16.95, but we should be able to offer you a discount as
the release date draws near…

SCHULZ TRIBUTE CATALOG

Several times I’ve mentioned the upcoming catalog book from
the Schulz Museum, displaying the various tribute strips
from the museum’s three shows, including strips from when
Schulz’s retirement was announced, strips from when he
passed, and strips from the big tribute day when such strips
filled the papers.

While the catalog has been delayed, the museum has now announced
it will be available at the museum April 11th, when the third
and final installment of the exhibit of tribute strips opens.
The catalog will be full color.

And as great as a trip to the museum is, there’s a surprising
answer to a question so many of you have been asking: yes,
the book will be available by mail order from the museum.
I’ll give you more details on that when I have them. (The
book will *not* be available through AAUGH.com; it’s
exclusive to the museum store.)

THE EASTER BEAGLE GOES DIGITAL

IT’S THE EASTER BEAGLE, CHARLIE BROWN, the classic animated
special, is now available on DVD as a double feature with
IT’S ARBOR DAY, CHARLIE BROWN (truly the best animated
arbor day special ever!)

SNOOPY PUPPY BOOKS

Little Simon has announced three more Peanuts books for kids,
entitled HELLO WORLD, PUPPY DAYS, and SLEEPY TIME. I should
have more information on these books before their October
release.

IT’S TIME TO LOSE THE BLANKET

Now shipping is LOSE THE BLANKET, LINUS, the latest in
the Ready-2-Read line of Peanuts illustrated prose stories
for kids. You can order it in paperback here:

and as a library-bound hardcover here:

That’s a rather abrupt set of announcements, isn’t it?
Not even one of my long descriptions of some cool Peanuts
book I’ve found. Life has been a little too full of both
good and bad things lately, and I’ve hadn’t had as much
time to hunt down new books. At this moment, Philosophia
Secundum Snoopy is winging its way to me, leaving me
needing just Carolini Brown Sapienti to complete Hallmark’s
four book set of Peanuts in Latin.

I’ll see you all again when there’s more news!

The Untouchable Charlie Brown

If you look at this ad, you may be wondering (as I did when I stumbled across it) why Charlie Brown is advertising a television show in 1963… and why, of all shows, he’s advertising The Untouchables. (Or you may be one of the many people now populating the earth too …
