Peanuts Panels and Product at Comic-Con 2025

Comic-Con

Comic-Con 2025 hits San Diego this week, and those of us who are lucky enough to attend will have some interesting things to see and interesting items to buy.

When it comes to Peanuts panels, they will be on Friday and Saturday. Lucky for me, I’ll be there for the Friday one, as that’s the day my non-Peanuts panel is.

Celebrating 75 years of Peanuts

Friday July 25, 2025 1:45pm – 2:45pm
Room 6DE
Moderator Damian Holbrook (columnist, TV Guide) and panelists Benjamin L. Clark (curator, Charles M. Schulz Museum), Paige Braddock (creative director emeritus, Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates), Melissa Menta (senior VP, global brand and communications, Peanuts Worldwide), Emma Harmon (assistant art director, Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates), and Alec Baldwin (actor/producer) discuss the lasting power of Charles M. Schulz’s seminal work and his indelible characters: how this unassuming, minimalist comic became a global fan favorite; Peanuts’ earliest moments; the first licensed products—when Snoopy leaped from the comics page and became real; and the path this humble comic took to transition to animation.
Well, I can tell you that one of those names, I had not expected to see there. I’ll leave it to you to guess which one.

The Essential Peanuts by Charles M. Schulz: The Greatest Comic Strip of All Time

Saturday July 26, 2025 4:30pm – 5:30pm
Room 7AB
A distinguished panel of contributors to The Essential Peanuts (Abrams ComicArts, October 2025) offer a heartfelt and insightful conversation about the legacy of Charles M. Schulz. Panelists include Mark Evanier (author of The Essential Peanuts), Chip Kidd (graphic designer), Paige Braddock (creative director emeritus at Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates), and Alexis E. Fajardo (editorial director, publishing & experiences at Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates). Moderated by Charles Kochman (editor-in-chief, Abrams ComicArts), the discussion will explore Schulz’s artistic genius, the enduring cultural impact of Peanuts, and how this landmark volume frames the iconic strip with fresh historical and cultural context.
Evanier is an old pal… and I’m willing to bet is the record holder for having been on the most San Diego Comic-Con panels. One of the few people who have attended Comic-Con every year since its inception, he is on fifteen panels this year alone.
But I know that some of you don’t care about the talky-talky; you care about the stuff. Well, here are exclusive Peanuts items that will be available at the show:
Monogram International will offer this pins-and-lanyard set. Booth 3645
Not only is this Rokimoto Peanuts – Snoopy In Puffer Jacket Figure a limited edition (which exclusives inherently are), but there’s a chance that you’ll get the rare variant with Snoopy sitting down. Sold UCC Distributing, which has booths 5613 and 1401 (I don’t know if it will be at both.)
But what about the official Peanuts sales locations? Once again, Peanuts will have both a booth inside the convention and a pop-up shop outside at 200 W. Harbor Drive (which means it’ll be open to anyone, not just convention attendees.) The Unofficial SDCC Blog has a rundown on what will be carried, and it’s not 100% clear which items are exclusives and which are just items (for example, there’s a Peanuts Polly Pocket set that is just debuting at the convention, and the sno-cone maker is obviously a traditional item and the new Hallmark Snoopy Sno-Cone ornament is already being offered by Hallmark.) There are a few things that are obviously exclusive, like the pins (a different one each day, free with purchase)
The Daily Beagle? Yup.
The t-shirts are generally exclusives. This one’s for the adults…

…and this one’s for the kids (for those who don’t recognize it: it’s an old lunchbox design.)
The only actual Peanuts book is just the reissue of Snoopy and the Red Baron which came out last month, but this keychain (apparently, it’s a notebook) and this pin will do for us Peanuts book specialists.
Ach, I’m running out of time to do this. Follow that Unofficial SDCC Blog link above… there are patches, Hot Wheels, a watch, a telephone, bandanas, and more, some at the booth, some at the pop-up.

Peanuts and also me at Comic-Con

Peanuts will indeed be a part of Comic-Con International: San Diego (yes, that’s its official name) once again this year. There will even be a pop-up shop outside of the Convention Center again, which means that locals can get access to special merch without getting the hard-to-get Comic Con entry …

Charles Manga Schulz comes to Comic-Con

It’s less than two weeks to the start of the San Diego Comic-Con (and months too late to get tickets to it, if that’s what you were hoping.) There will be be an official Peanuts booth there, as usual. In addition to their usual line-up of special items made just …

Animated Peanuts
Beagle Scout missions

Those of you who have never been to the San Diego Comic-Con (or who haven’t been in a the past couple decades) may not realize that the event goes well beyond the convention center. For blocks around, there are pop-up shops in unused storefronts, studios creating fan “experiences” in parking …
