The AAUGH Blogger interviews Nat Gertler

A Charlie Brown Christmas

AAUGH Blogger: Hey, Nat, what’s that you got there?

Nat: It’s the A Charlie Brown Christmas Mini Puzzles box set thingy.

AAUGH Blogger: Oh, a thingy, is it? What has it got in it.

Nat: It has these two bags of very small jigsaw puzzle pieces.

AAUGH Blogger: Do they go together into two very small jigsaw puzzles?

Nat: I presume so. But very small pieces. Thick, aging fingers. Not a combination I feel like trying today. But it also has this two-sided mini-poster thingy, with Tom Brannon images of A Charlie Brown Christmas.

AAUGH Blogger: Are the images on that thingy the same images that are on the jigsaw puzzle?

Nat: Again, I can only presume so. But if so… well, if you believe like I do that a jigsaw puzzle is just a poster that’s been delivered in a very inefficient manner, this just makes the whole thing redundant.

AAUGH Blogger: Is there… maybe… is there also a book?

Nat: Yes.

AAUGH Blogger: Is it… is it an A Charlie Brown Christmas book?

Nat: Well, the cover says Peanuts A Charlie Brown Christmas Sticker Book.

AAUGH Blogger: IS IT A BOOK ADAPTATION OF A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS? Isit isit isit???

Nat: It’s just got eight stickers inside.

AAUGH Blogger: ARE THE STICKERS SUFFICIENTLY INFORMATIVE AND IN PROPER ORDER THAT, IN LOOKING THROUGH THEM YOU GET THE STORY OF A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS?!

Nat: No.

AAUGH Blogger:

Nat: But it’s all in a little box that should fit well in a Christmas stocking, if one wants to celebrate Christmas on Christmas and the days following.

AAUGH Blogger:

Nat: To make up for your obvious holiday-related disappointment, let me show you this photo I took of a front lawn in my suburban neighborhood this morning.

AAUGH Blogger: That looks… sincere!

Nat: Yes, it does.
