Molly and the Bear

mollyFor those who liked Bob Scott’s work on the Peanuts comic book, he’s got one of his own projects coming out in book form next March. Molly and the Bear is quite shockingly not, as logic would dictate, about a truck driver named Molly who drives around with a chimpanzee named Bear, but rather about a little girl named Molly who has a bear named, and I am not making this up, Bear. This is totally inconsistent, because Molly is not an Amazon molly, a species of fish that breeds through gynogensis. But that’s the way it is with comics these days, you can just make up any ridiculous concept you want, logic be damned, and instantly you’re  superstar. Some cartoonists actually get to eat pizza twice a month! Anyway, if you want the book, you can preorder it here, and if you want to just read the strip for free, there are years of archives starting here, ya cheapskate!
