Amazon and the Artist’s Edition

So among the emails I’ve been getting from you fine AAUGH Blog readers has been the question of what’s up with that copy of the Peanuts Artist’s Edition that I ordered from Amazon?
Alas, I do not know.
Here’s what I can tell you:
- None of the copies of the book ordered through AAUGH.com’s Amazon links have shipped.
- Amazon is no longer taking direct orders for the book.
- The book has indeed arrived in comic book stores.
I don’t have my copy yet, because I ordered mine through Amazon. I cannot assure you that Amazon will ever deliver, and by waiting for them, you may miss your opportunity to obtain one from other sources. As I’ve noted, these books aren’t always kept in print. So if you want to be sure to get one, you may want to cancel your Amazon order. You might be able to get one from your local comic book shop. The best deal I’ve found online so far is actually ordering it from the publisher, who has it for $100 plus shipping.
(Believe me, I’m as disappointed as any of you with this. As you know, the expenses of this blog are covered primarily by Amazon giving me a cut of orders that I send their way. Cancelled orders are money out of my pocket…. and of course, I’ve been eagerly looking forward to the book as well.)
