Charlie Brown Christmas Watch 2013

As regular readers know, one of my biggest joys is keeping an eye out for new book adaptations of A Charlie Brown Christmas. Well, my alarm bells went off today when I found this listing for A Charlie Brown Christmas by Charles Schulz, coming this October.

But then I looked closer at the publisher (It Books, an imprint of HarperCollins), the page count (192), the size (9″x9″ – that’s square, for those of you who are really bad at math), and then I recognize what this was. If this isn’t a rerelease of A Charlie Brown Christmas: The Making of a Tradition by Lee Mendelson, I’ll eat… well, not my hat. I like my hat. But I’ll glady eat a couple donuts. Yes, I know that’s missing the point, but… donuts!

Meanwhile, if you really need a new edition of A Charlie Brown Christmas, and have a loose definition of “new”, library-bound copies of a recent adaptation are now shipping.
