Coming up: Comic-Con 2026

Comic-Con

The famous San Diego Comic-Con is just a couple weeks away, and if you were hoping to go but don’t have tickets yet, well, you’re far too late. These sell out months in advance. (But if you happen to be in San Diego during this time, keep reading, there’s some information for you.)

Information is still coming out, so I expect to be adding to this later, but this is what we know so far of Peanuts-y plans there:

  • PANEL: On Thursday at 1 PM in Room 5, it’s “Good Grief! The Enduring Legacy of Peanuts, Snoopy, and Charles M. Schulz”, with Lex Fajardo leading a panel with Mark Evanier (author of The Essential Peanuts), Chip Kidd (author of Only What’s Necessary), and Charles Kochman (editor-in-chief of Abrams ComicArts, who published the previous two books) discussing the history and legacy of the strip. A “special announcement” is promised.
  • EXCLUSIVE ITEMS: The Peanuts Snoopy Siblings Deluxe Gift Set has three enamel pins, plus a lanyard and a 3-D foam bag clip. Limited to 300, priced at $40. That’s Monogram International, booth 3645.
  • ITEM INTRODUCTIONS: UCC Distributing (booths 1401 & 5613) has new Snoopy vending machine figures.
  • BOOTH: Peanuts will be at booth 1635. I do not yet have the list of what they will be offering. Once I know, I’ll fill you in! (This booth tends ot have long lines until they run out of stuff… including lines frequently long enough that they won’t even let you get in the line, you have to keep circling back and hope that it has shortened.)
  • OFF-SITE: Super 7 is going to have an offsite pop-up Peanuts store which will offer some stuffed Snoopy siblings as 8″ Super Duper Plush that you can “adopt” (yes, there’s an adoption certificate) as well as various other interesting items, a few of which are pictured below, there’s also a hat, some lanyards.. The pop-up will be at 200 W Harbor Drive, which is the past location of the Peanuts pop-up, basically across the train tracks from the convention center. In the past, Super7 and Peanuts have had separate pop-ups, but this looks to be the one this time. Hours are noon to 4 Thursday, 10 to 6 Friday and Saturday, and 10 to 4 Sunday. A cool thing about an offsite popup like this is that it’s not really part of the convention, so you can do it even if you don’t have a convention badge.
  • THE AAUGH BLOGGER: Yes, I will be there, but only one day (currently planned as Friday, but I may switch it to Thursday so that I can see the panel.) No, I have no signings nor panels this year, so you aren’t likely to find me. If anyone has a particular reasons to want to speak to me there, drop me a line and we’ll see what can be worked out.

Well, I got my one day at Comic-Con this year, and I’m still recovering. (Not having a hotel room meant lugging around a shoulder bag with everything I needed for my presentation at the end of the day….and I’m still recovering from a leg injury a few weeks back.) I …
