Peanuts books, they keep on coming

Peanuts books will continue to come in 2026, no matter what the politicians say! (Not that they’ve said anything about that, but I’m just generally mad at politicians at the moment.) May brings Be A Good Sport, Charlie Brown!, which is an abridged-for-board-book version of the storybook I reviewed back in 2019. The board book cover is padded and is “shaped like a baseball” (well, the shape includes a circle in it.)
July brings Letters to the Great Pumpkin, a somewhat interactive storybook, as pull tabs will reveal letters from six characters to the Great Pumpkin, as Linus has convinced his pals to amass missives to the Great one.
Phidal, who makes basically books that are toys in several lines, has apparently laid their fingers on the Peanuts license for several books coming out next August:
Snoopy: My First Puzzle Book has five jigsaw puzzles (12 pieces apiece) and apparently a story that goes across the images.
Peanuts: Tattle Tales is a boxed set with a board book and figures of four of your favorite Peanuts characters… if the doghouse is one of your favorite characters. (The name “Tattle Tales” has nothing to do with the story; this is a line of similar book-and-some-figures sets that has used such licenses as Mickey Mouse, Thomas the Tank Engine, and Hot Wheels.)
Peanuts: My Busy Books comes with a play mat, ten figures, and a storybook.
The thing about books like these is that Amazon detects them as books when they’re first announced, but they often don’t end up carrying them. Likely they’re not being sold in the traditional book market way (i.e, the bookstore can return them if they don’t sell), and Amazon seems to avoid non-returnable books.
