Crafty Peanuts books

Upcoming releases

A couple of craft-ish new books popped up on the horizon. Coming next June is a revised and expanded edition of Peanuts Cross-Stitch; where the old one had 16 patterns, this one comes with a whopping 24. At least, I assume that’s whopping. I don’t really spend time with craft books. I am reasonable sure that it is a larger number than the smaller number it had earlier.

More than 8! Olay, that could be any number. Well, not 7 or 4, I suppose. But it could be 137. In fact, I’m betting it is!

As long as I’m posting anyway: I now have the inside scoop on this year’s Hallmark adaptation of A Charlie Brown Christmas, and it is indeed a reduced version of the big book from recent years, rather than a substantially new adaptation. But I’ll be buying it anyway, for collecting is obsessing.

Charlie Brown’s America goes soft

Coming in December is a paperback edition of Blake Scott Bell’s Charlie Brown’s America: The Popular Politics of Peanuts. I reviewed the hardcover when it came out in 2021, and that positive recommendation still stands. Share the news!
