Upcoming releases

A few years back, I let you know about the first collection of the strip Molly and the Bear, by Bob Scott, whose work you might know from the Peanuts comic books. Well, Bob dropped by to let me know that there’s a new book coming out soon (and available for pre-order), under the strip’s new name, Bear with Me. It’s a big hardcover, with a big hardcover price…. but if you want some free samples, there’s plenty at the strip’s GoComics site, starting with the very first one.

(Calvin has his tiger. Molly has her bear. It seems like there should be a trilogy of such strips but featuring a lion, so we could make a lion-and-tiger-and-bear, oh-my joke. But the next example that comes to mind is Dana Simpson’s enjoyable and currently popular Phoebe and her Unicorn, and that doesn’t fit.)
