Not a cook book, a cookbook

Upcoming releases

Coming in September is Peanuts Lunch Bag Cookbook. Now, you may think that you have this already, as an item from the 1970s, but noooo, that was Peanuts Lunch Bag Cook Book, an entirely different thing, just count the words.

Oh, okay, the concepts are much the same, recipe books accompanied by Peanuts strips. The new book is coming from Weldon Owen, a publisher that has done a couple of attractive Peanuts cooking books in recent years.

But it’s a new batch of recipes, and more of them, and additional illustrations. Charlie Brown’s Lonesome Peanut Butter and Jelly Pockets, Snoopy’s Flying Ace Pizza, Lucy’s Crabby Avocado Toasts, Linus’ Great Pumpkin Bread, Cool-as-Cucumber Soup, Caesar’s “Romaine Empire” Salad, Tuna-is-a-Fish Sandwich, Spike’s North-of-the-Border Taco Salad, and many more, over 50 in all.

The book ships in September, and is available for preorder.
