Back in my day, we spelled it “fork”

AAUGH Blog reader John pointed out this announcement of yet another home video release of the three perennial Peanuts specials (ChristmasGreat Pumpkin, and Thanksgiving). While the announced advantage of this release is that it has remastered 4K editions, let’s face it, that’s far more resolution than these things were ever intended for or really need. That’s not to say, however, that the set won’t be worthwhile, because while the traditional home video releases of these specials have always had a second special bundled with each (It’s Christmastime AgainYou’re Not Elected, and The Mayflower Voyages, respectively), for this release they’re adding a third special on each disk, and jettisoning You’re Not Elected. So these disks will give you higher-resolution versions of It’s Magic, Charlie BrownPlay it Again, Charlie BrownCharlie Brown All-Stars, and, because you all demanded it, It’s Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown. The full set will be available in October, although the separate Great Pumpkin unit will be out a couple weeks earlier.
