Ah, the glory of local ads! In addition to the beautiful title of The Charlie Brown Christmas Show (what, don’t they know that the proper title is It’s “The Charlie Brown Christmas Show”, Charlie Brown!?), there’s that gloriously disconcerting choice of images.

By the way, the next issue of Hogan’s Alley should be coming out in a few months, and it will have two very short Peanuts-related articles by me, and judging from the cover, at least one by someone else (on Peanuts and Shakespeare.) But probably the highlight of the whole thing will be a new interview with Krazy Kat creator George Herriman… “new” as in “never before published”, not as in “recent”, as Herriman died sixty-two years ago.
