What happiness is, for the record

HappinessIsDeanMartinOnce Schulz had established that “Happiness is a Warm Puppy”, many other folks decided to put down their own descriptors. The Beatles famously indicated that “Happiness is a Warm Gun”, and as we’ve covered here before, Johnny Carson opined that “Happiness is a Dry Martini”. But it wasn’t until just the other day that I learned that Dean Martin had staked his own claim in this discussion in 1967, by releasing an album that declared via its very title that Happiness is Dean Martin. And who could argue with that?

This album was re-released on CD in 2009, and is still available.
