Peanuts loses to a Seuss

The final weekend tally for The Peanuts Movie in North America is in, and at $44,213,073, it remains the second biggest opening weekend for a non-Pixar G-rated movie, beaten out by Horton Hears a Who…. which was also directed by Steve Martino.

(Not that any of this is directly important; the long-term question of whether there are more movies to follow will likely hinge on dollars yet to come. And also how long the people involved get to rest; there are some tired folks over in the Schulz camp!)
