However, the bigger news is another new storybook coming in July: Snoopy for President! That’s right, the Simon Spotlight line is exploiting that thing that happens in America every four years – no ,not my brother’s birthday, but the Super Bowl of politics. Apparently, the country did not learn enough from Snoopy’s brief reign as Head Beagle. With the advantage of being a veteran of both World Wars and even the Revolutionary war, perhaps this black-and-white beagle stands a chance among the strays and mad dogs already vying for the position. Maybe this is the year American aligns itself not with a donkey or an elephant, but a dog!
