Charlie Brown Is Not a Quilter! No, wait, that says “Quitter”. But it’s also true!

New releases

Charlie Brown Is Not a Quitter!  is a full-color hardcover storybook derived from the movie The Peanuts Movie. Flipping through it, carefully not reading the text to avoid spoilers, and making my best guesses, it seems to be all of the Charlie Brown-centric parts of the movie story, without the Snoopy-centric ones (although the beagle does appear.) It’s a slick-looking volume, marred only by the fact that nobody seems to understand “title case” any more. They clearly meant to be using title case, as they didn’t capitalize the word “a” in the title… but then why capitalize “Is”? That’s exactly the sort of tiny generic word one does not capitalize in a title. It doesn’t even make sense for emphasis, as “Not” is the word you emphasized there.

The Snoopy volume uses Snoopy images from just about anywhere: strips (appropriately licensed), animation, photos, The Peanuts Movie publicity materials. And the simple facts it …

A needle-ssly fine present

Being a) an adult and b) not a Christmasian, it makes sense that I’m not given much in the way of Christmas presents. This year’s haul was just two items, both given by Dr. Mrs. The AAUGH Blogger: a Terry’s Chocolate Orange (yum!), and this Peanuts embroidery book from Japan. …
