Some sources list the author as “Ladybird Ladybird”

Ladybrid2Australian books are a pain in my tuchis. They’re things I should get to keep up my goal of having all the English language Peanuts books, but shipping costs are simply forbidding. Now I’m looking with caution at a couple of books that are showing up in some listings, books with the odd titles of Read It Yourself With Ladybird Level 1 Peanuts Best Friends and Read It Yourself With Ladybird Level 2 Peanuts Charlie Brown’s Kite. The “Read It Yourself With Ladybird” portion marks them as apart of a series of early reader books published by Ladybird (who has done some Peanuts books in the past.) These are showing up as preorderable from sources in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada… but not the UK, which is actually easier to order from than Canada. The UK does have the first book, but not with the Ladybird imprint; it’s coming under another Penguin-owned brand, Puffin Books. And just to mess me up, instead of calling it Best Friends, they’re calling it Best of Friends.

Every Sunday comes around again

Shipping this September (or so they say) is the first volume of the paperback rerelease of Peanuts Every Sunday, the series which reprints the Sunday strips for the entire run of the strip, in color. The solicitation doesn’t appear to have the dimensions on it, so I don’t know if …
