Crochet

CrochetI’m not going to review Peanuts Crochet, not just because there would be a strong conflict of interest for me (I am, after all, working on an upcoming book for the same publisher and packager), but because I am really in no position to judge a crochet book, and I am not going to take up the needless myself; I  have no talent at the fabric crafts. So I’ll keep it to the facts:

The kit comes with:

  • Crochet hooks
  • Five colors of yarn: white, yellow, black, tan, and brown
  • Some thread and a sewing needle
  • A full color, 76 page paperback book with directions on making:
    • Charlie Brown
    • Snoopy
    • Linus
    • Franklin
    • Lucy
    • Sally
    • Peppermint Patty
    • Pigpen
    • Flying Ace Snoopy
    • Schroeder (with piano!)
    • Woodstock
    • Marcie

The included materials should let you make Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and Woodstock. Other characters require other colors.

Review: Snoopy (Classic Cartoon Character Bios)

The Abdo Kids : Classic Cartoon Character Bios books are blatant stuff-to-fill-school-libraries material. Sturdy hardcovers, lots of pictures, 24 pages, little text – about 250 words. The Snoopy volume uses Snoopy images from just about anywhere: strips (appropriately licensed), animation, photos, The Peanuts Movie publicity materials. And the simple facts it …
