Another book from the AAUGH Blogger

If all you’ve seen from me as an author are The Peanuts Collection and Classic Peanuts: Great Moments, you may think that all I’m capable of writing is books about Peanuts… but my next announced book isn’t about Peanuts! Instead, it’s about… Snoopy! That’s right: The Snoopy Treasures: An Illustrated Celebration of the World Famous Beagle is, well, what its subtitle says that it is. What can I tell you about this 176 page hardcover coming from Thunder Bay Press? Very little, because I’ve got contractual restrictions. But I can pass along the publisher’s blurb on it:

Although it’s not the “great American novel” written atop his doghouse, this book is pure Snoopy. The heart of the long-running, beloved comic strip Peanuts, Snoopy is an instantly recognizable character around the world. The pages in this comprehensive volume cover Snoopy’s inspiration, first appearances, and his evolution into the lovable character from the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm we’re familiar with today. Get the scoop on his relationships with his best friend, Woodstock, Charlie Brown, and the rest of the gang. Snoopy fans will treasure the collection of removable memorabilia and fun illustrations from the Schulz museum while enjoying the extensive knowledge of Nat Gertler, an expert on the subject of Peanuts. Fling yourself into this book and join in the happy dance!

This is slated to hit bookstores on November 10th… the 65th anniversary of the first appearance of the name “Snoopy” in the strip! (The character had appeared earlier, but was unnamed.) And yes, preorderable at the link above.
