Peanuts from the beginning

I was listening to a report the other day covering the The Simpsons marathon than ran on FXX, and one of the things that was noted was that, while all of these episodes had been available on home video for a long time, and reran at various times on TV, this was the first time since they originally ran that everyone was watching them at the same time… and thus, there were lots of twitter discussions and the like about the content.

So it’s with that in mind that I note the online  Peanuts Begins, which today started with the first Peanuts strip and will move on one-a-day from there. They are coloring them, which is not how they were ever meant to be (but will mean that they will have color versions in their library, which can be used in future reprints.) And remember, there were no Sunday strips until ’52; I don’t know if they will be taking Sundays off or just moving through the strips at seven dailies per week.
