The solicitations for fall books just hit… and boy, did they ever hit hard for the Peanuts book collector. Whatever you collect, you’ll have something to buy.
- If you like your strip collections complete and hardcover, you’ve got volume 22 of The Complete Peanuts, as well as the box set of 21 and 22 out in September.
- If you like strip collections complete and paperback, you’ve got volume 2 of The Complete Peanuts, as well as the box set of 1 and 2, out in November.
- If you like them themed, there are gift books of strips for holidays: Waiting for the Great Pumpkin and Snoopy’s Thanksgiving, each coming the month before their holidays.
- If you like them big and in full color, there’s November’s volume 2 of Peanuts Every Sunday, collecting all the Sunday strips from 1956-1960.
- Care more about animation? There’s the rerelease of the making-of book, It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown: The Making of a Tradition, dropping in September.
- Want some original books? The first three Peanuts kids books from Little Patriot Press hit in September. You’ve got three question-filled titles: Who Cares, Charlie Brown?, Where Are You Going, Charlie Brown?, and What’s the Big Idea, Charlie Brown? Tom Brannon, who did the full-color highly-modeled art for a number of the recent animated adaptations, is on these books as well.
