They’ve released this new cover image for the first volume of Peanuts Every Sunday, the planned ten-volume set reprinting all of the Sunday Peanuts strips in color.

This is a common part of the process, having a cover that looks good enough to go out and get the ball rolling, but going back and revisiting it, rethinking it, and seeing what you can come up with. In the case of a series, you want to plan out a cover design that will be reusable for each of the volumes in the run. (Have you preordered your copy yet? These ain’t cheap, so the savings add up.)

Meanwhile, Andrews McMeel Publishing has announced their second in their series of Peanuts strip reprints aimed at kids. Charlie Brown and Friends: A Peanuts Collection is slated for next February, five months after the first in the series, next month’s Snoopy: Cowabunga!.
