Color Sunday books coming

As I’ve occasionally noted, working professionally in Peanuts sometimes means hearing about upcoming projects before they’re ready to be announced. This is one of those cases, and I’m glad that the news is finally coming out elsewhere so I can mention it.

Starting this fall, Fantagraphics will launch a 10-book series collecting the Sunday Peanuts strips in color. These books aren’t going to be cheap – volume 1 covering 1952-1955 will be $50 – but should be purty. (If you’re wondering about 1952 – while Peanuts launched in 1950, it was just a six-day-a-week strip until 1952, when the first Sunday strip appeared.)

More news on this soon.
