Peanuts volume 2 cover

Now we have a cover for Peanuts Volume 2, the collection of the currently-running second series of Peanuts comic books from Kaboom.

It’s a nicely constructed fun’n’happy beach scene, with Lucy showing what I would normally think of as Linus’s talent for sand castles (perhaps he’s working from the inside!) The design person in me is a little visually irritated by the logo – usually one overlaps a logo to shove something into the foreground, but here it’s overlapped by the most distant non-cloud object on the page (well, the tree may be more distant, but you see what I’m saying. Or you don’t, and I’m just babbling on. I do that.)

The book is available for preorder.
