An A Charlie Brown Christmas edition I can’t get

Is an ebook a book? That’s the question I’ll have to wrestle with as I try to maintain a complete collection of book adaptations of A Charlie Brown Christmas. There’s an ebook edition now, and it’s only available for the Nook, Barnes & Nobles e-book device. And hey, I have a Nook! But… it’s only available for the color  Nook, which supports various multimedia aspects, and I’ve got an older black-and-white model. The description calls it an “abridgment”, but that may be an abridgment of the special, and not of the printed edition the book is bsed on. As with some other Color Nook Only kids books, this is a “read and play” book, so if you want to listen to Kate & Allie‘s Ari Meyers reading you A Charlie Brown Christmas, here’s your chance!

And hey, as long as you’re getting that, there’s a Color Nook-only edition of It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, with more Ari Meyers and  various interactive features.

Really, the interactive aspect is what might save me… makes it less of a book, so maybe I don’t have to get a Color Nook and get one.
