I now have my copies of the long-delayed books MY SWEET BABBOO:
\nPEANUTS ON LOVE and OH FRIEND OF FRIENDS: PEANUTS ON FRIENDSHIP.
\nThese are cute little gift books, each about three inches
\nwide and three-and-a-half high. On the 48 full-color pages
\n(not 64, as listed in the catalogs) are strips reprinted one
\nor two panels per page, with pages of quotes from famous folks
\nseperating the strips.<\/p>\n
Obviously, you won’t be buying these books for the quantity
\nof strips. A $6 book with 9 strips is no bargain. The
\npackage is nicely presented however. One especially nice
\ntouch is the built-in bookmark, a long strap loop with
\na metal weight at the end. On the friendship book, the
\nweight is a little painted metal Snoopy, while the love
\nbook has a medallion with Linus’s face on it. In addition
\nto serving as bookmarks, these loops could be used to
\nhang the books from a Christmas tree. You’ll have to
\nremove the book’s dust jacket, because the jacket will
\njust fall of otherwise, but under the jacket the boards
\nhave the same full color image.<\/p>\n
These books make cute little gift items, and could be
\ninteresting decorations for the office cubicle.<\/p>\n
