Last year’s popular new Peanuts special, A
\nCHARLIE BROWN VALENTINE, is getting aired
\nagain this year in the U.S. on ABC. When?
\nSaturday February 15th, the day after Valentine’s
\nDay. <\/p>\n
Remember, this one isn’t out on home video yet,
\nso you may want to tape it.

\nMUSEUM BOOK DELAYED<\/p>\n
A few newsletters back I talked about the book
\nthat the Schulz Museum was planning, a catalog
\nof the Schulz tribute strips that they have
\nbeen displaying in three exhibitions (the second
\nof which is now on display). At the time, I said
\nthat the book was scheduled for release in
\nFebruary. Unfortunately, the museum is now
\nlearning the realities of putting a book together,
\nparticularly one which has the complexities that
\nthis one does in terms of rights and content.
\nThey now hope to have it out sometime next month,
\nbut don’t schedule a trip just to pick up the book.

\nANOTHER MUSEUM BOOK AVAILABLE<\/p>\n
But if you’re going to the museum anyway, it
\ndoesn’t mean that you won’t be able to expand
\nyour book collection anyway, particularly if
\nyou like coloring books. The museum gift shop
\n(-not- the Snoopy Gift Shop a half block away)
\nhas the Charles M. Schulz Museum Activity &
\nColoring Book, a short coloring book packaged
\nwith a quartet of crayons.
\n

\nIT’S THE LITTLE PUMPKIN, CHARLIE BROWN<\/p>\n
Last newsletter, I mentioned that the book
\nadaptation of BE MY VALENTINE, CHARLIE BROWN
\nthat comes with the PEANUTS VALENTINE CRAFT
\nKIT was smaller than all the other animated
\nadaptations in this series.<\/p>\n
Well, I was mostly right (which is the
\nego-protecting way of admitting I was wrong.)
\nOh, it is indeed smaller than any of the books
\nin this series that I’d seen before, but it
\nis the exact same size of another book I just
\npicked up, a miniature edition of the
\nadaptation of IT’S THE GREAT PUMPKIN, CHARLIE
\nBROWN. This edition was given away by the Cub
\nFoods store chain (113 stores in the central
\nportion of the U.S.), apparently with purchases
\nof Pepsi and Frito-Lay chips. And the inside
\nback cover has recipes for Lucy’s Pumpkin
\nPatch Cookies, Woodstock’s Pumpkin Pie, and
\nPeanuts Pumpkin Pie Bars.

\nto be sure that no one headed off to Santa Rosa
\njust to buy a book that isn’t there yet.<\/p>\n
