{"id":791,"date":"2009-10-23T15:52:23","date_gmt":"2009-10-23T22:52:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/?p=791"},"modified":"2009-10-23T15:52:23","modified_gmt":"2009-10-23T22:52:23","slug":"an-expensive-booklet-with-free-dvds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/2009\/10\/an-expensive-booklet-with-free-dvds\/","title":{"rendered":"an expensive booklet, with free DVDs?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>So I&#8217;m in Costco the other day, and they&#8217;ve got the <a href=\"http:\/\/AAUGH.com\/to.htm?B001CO32FI\"><strong>Peanuts Holiday Collection<\/strong><\/a>, the boxed set of three of the current-edition DVDs (<em>It&#8217;s the Great Pumpkin<\/em>, <em>A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving<\/em>, and <em>A Charlie Brown Christmas<\/em>), and I notice it&#8217;s got a sticker on it. Not the price sticker (although the price is okay, a buck or so less than the current Amazon price). It&#8217;s a sticker I&#8217;ve not seen on this set before, either last year or at other locations this year. A sticker promising a free 48-page comic book inside. I&#8217;ve asked around a bit on this, and it turns out this is a little comic strip collection, featuring strips about the holidays. Appears to be a Costco exclusive (and no, not orderable online; Costco&#8217;s online presence is specifically focused on things not in the stores.)<\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t fallen for it yet, haven&#8217;t bought the set just to get the booklet.
