This paperback, which bears no English title as some Japanese books do, has a title that translates to <em>Not Just Mean Lucy<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/NotJustMeanSnoopycover.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7815\" src=\"http:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/NotJustMeanSnoopycover-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/NotJustMeanSnoopycover-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/NotJustMeanSnoopycover.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is a Lucy-themed strip collection built around the color pink. Black-and-white daily strips are now black-and-white-and-pink. Color Sunday strips? Also now black-and-white-and-pink! The strips are each printed with their original dialogue intact, and a Japanese translation printed below the image.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/NotJustMeanLucy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7816\" src=\"http:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/NotJustMeanLucy-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/NotJustMeanLucy-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/NotJustMeanLucy-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/NotJustMeanLucy-400x300.jpg 400w, https:\/\/aaugh.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/NotJustMeanLucy.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>The design makes for a visually lovely volume \u2014 not the sort of &#8220;correct&#8221; look you&#8217;d want for something like a <em>Complete Peanuts<\/em> collection, but a look that gives a certain attitude toward a themed book.<\/p>\n<p>Much as American volumes of translated manga are published in Japanese format, with the spine on the right of the cover, this book is published in English-language format, with the spine on the left.<\/p>\n<p>Kinokuniya does sell some books through their website, but it looks like it&#8217;s primarily English language books of Japanese material. I don&#8217;t find any Peanuts books there, alas.
