\nMORE PEANUTS GHOST BOOKS, ALAS<\/p>\n
From time to time, books are announced in some form but
\nnever released, and their listings stay in the catalogs
\nof online bookstores. This has happened previously with
\nsuch Peanuts books as PEPPERMINT PATTY AND MARCIE and
\nCAPS DON’T WIN BALL GAMES, MARCIE, both of which were
\nintended for a no-longer existent line of books, but
\nthey keep appearing in online listings with updated
\nrelease dates. Unfortunately, two more announced books
\nare now showing signs of being “ghost books”: MY SWEET
\nBABBOO: PEANUTS ON LOVE and OH FRIENDS OF FRIENDS: PEANUTS
\nON FRIENDSHIP, a pair of mini gift books. I really
\nthought that we’d see these books, since we saw
\nthe covers for them, but their release date has passed,
\nchanged, and passed again without any sign of them
\nexisting. These are phantoms in the system.<\/p>\n
If you have an open order that includes either of these
\nbooks, you should cancel those books so that the rest
\nof the order isn’t being held, waiting for these to
\narrive.

Possibly the keenest book in the AAUGH.com reference library
\nis the Braille edition of SECURITY IS A THUMB AND A BLANKET,
\nwhich includes raised pictures in addition to the text. I’ve
\ntalked about this book (and Braille editions of other books
\nin the series) several time in the newsletter, but I’m not
