Peanuts will indeed be a part of Comic-Con International: San Diego (yes, that’s its official name) once again this year. There will even be a pop-up shop outside of the Convention Center again, which means that locals can get access to special merch without getting the hard-to-get Comic Con entry badge.<\/p>\n

One thing that will be going on inside the convention is the launch of some new product. Games manufacturer Cryptozoic will be launching a new game and a new collector card set.<\/a> The game,\u00a0The Doctor is In<\/em>, gives players a chance to respond to Charlie Brown’s psychiatric questions with a choice of panels from the strip. The card set,\u00a0Peanuts Playpaks<\/em>, includes foil cards, standees, even temporary tattoo cards. There will be some exclusive specials for both items at the convention, but general market versions should soon be available.<\/p>\n

There are more Peanuts product announcements to come, of course.<\/p>\n

I’m planning to only be at the convention on Friday, when I’ll give a talk on publishing books of comics using Amazon’s print-on-demand system. Specific time and room to be announced.
